Association 

The Mission of the Alumni Association is to provide support to the core values of the Housatonic Valley Regional High School through communications to all Alumni.   

 

The purpose of this organization shall be to support the educational programs, the faculty and the students of HVRHS through the generosity of its alumni and friends. This will include but not be limited to, dissemination of information about the school through the “Blue 'n' Gold”, supporting the Alumni Wall of Honor and Athletic Hall of Fame, assistance with the purchase of capital items, the award of Alumni Scholarships, facilitating class reunions, and becoming involved in other initiatives that will contribute to the improvement of the school.

OUR STRATEGIC PLAN

  • Building and maintaining a greater sense of fellowship, cooperation and loyalty among Alumni, students, staff, HVRHS friends and the communities it serves, and

  • Assisting in strengthening the HVRHS’ Mission for the benefit of its current and future students and communities.

 

The HVRHS Alumni Association shall achieve its Mission’s Objectives through the following

goals by:

 

  • Maintaining an up-to-date comprehensive data base of all HVRHS Alumni, 

  • Granting a free one-year membership to all HVRHS graduating seniors,

  • Providing an Alumni website with an online newsletter regarding significant events in the lives of Alumni, HVRHS and the present HVRHS community,

  • Publishing, semi-annually, the Alumni newsletter “Blue 'n' Gold,” 

  • Developing, coordinating and preserving the HVRHS Alumni Association’s Wall of Honor as well as the HVRHS Athletic Hall of Fame programs, and financially covering the luncheons / receptions expenses for each program,

  • Financing an annual HVRHS Alumni Association undergraduate scholarship, and

  • Providing input into the planning and organization of class reunion if requested.

 

Insofar, as its Treasury Funds allow, the HVRHS Alumni Association will entertain 

requests to assist in funding HVRHS projects by:

 

  • Being involved in activities which assist in the funding of HVRHS’ major improvements projects, and 

  • Preserving and supporting the tradition of excellence at HVRHS by helping to raise funds for HVRHS, the Alumni Association and shared activities.
